Wireless Network
Imagine your computers sharing files from one source, surfing the Internet simultaneously and sharing a printer. Now imagine that there are no wires connecting them together; your laptop follows you from living room to kitchen as you email friends and family. If you have more than one computer, a wireless home network will let you share resources among them; without being tied down with cables. All your computers can utilize your high-speed Internet connection. Share a printer located anywhere in the house, share all kinds of files - music, digital photographs and documents. Keep all your digital music on one computer and listen to it anywhere in the house. Organize and keep all of your family's digital photographs in one place, so it's easy to find the ones you want and make backup copies on CD. Use extra free space on one computer when another's hard drive starts to fill up. What are the benefits?
How does it work?
Your Broadband High Speed Internet access is delivered through a modem connected to your normal telephone line. By connecting a wireless router, the digital signal is broadcast throughout your household via radio waves. With a simple wireless networking card, your computers and printers can all network together. Your network is password protected and accessible only to you. For more information or with questions please contact us. How much does it cost?
There is a one-time fee of $49.95 to upgrade from our standard modem to a wireless modem/router. It includes the configuration of the wireless network on your computer(s). The fee does not include a wireless adapter, that must be purchased separately. There is no monthly fee for the wireless modem. |
